The NYS has launched the biometric registration of all Community Youth engaged under the NYS Youth Empowerment Programme. The exercise commenced on Thursday 28th January 2016 from 8:00 am in all 69 Constituencies where the Programme had been running and will continue until completed in the next six days.

The recent nationwide recruitment of volunteers into NYS ended on Thursday 31st April. The second group of 10,935 is expected to start reporting to their training colleges in the coming weeks. Once they step in NYS training college in Gilgil and Naivasha they become servicemen.

KISUMU WELCOMES NYS YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME

An elated youth after the president instructed the community youth intake to be doubled from the intended number of 2,000 to 4,000 youth.

H.E the President once again launched the youth empowerment and slum upgrading programme in Kisumu. The young men and women in Nyalenda and Obungu/Nyawita informal settments in Kisumu Central constituency will be the beneficiaries of this project.
